Home
Wow. I'm home. It is nice to be done with school for the summer, but this is the second year now that I've found myself strongly wishing school was not done and it would continue through the summer. Its not like I want to do summer school, but I just love the atmosphere of SPU so much that I wish I could capture it and bottle it up and douse myself in a beautiful cologne of SPUness. (wow no clue where that came from...) But you know what I mean, right? Its that feeling of a place where you feel like you belong; a place where you are accepted and respected, not just as a musician, but as a person. Don't get me wrong, home is great, but I will miss that something more. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and with my PCC family. I hope this summer isn't as cool as they say it is going to be or I just might go postal...oh wait Andrew already took that job for the summer. *BA-DUM-CHING* Well I am off to see Mahler 4 performed by Orchestra Seattle. Its been awhile since I've been to a concert by myself. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. No distractions, ya know. (Kirstin, you are not a distraction, :-P) Tschüss!

It's great to have you home for a short time, but I understand exactly what you mean...
It was a new experience for me to get up this morning and smell coffee in our kitchen (not a bad thing - just different). It was also a busy house this morning compared to the relative quiet of the normal morning routine. I am thankful for this time and I'm hoping it will be a postiive experience for everyone. It was fun to have Andrew join us while we watched Short Circuit last night and hear his laughter.
You belong in a university setting! You appreciate the level of education, intelligence and commitment to attaining more by those who surround you and instruct you. May God guide your path and continue to bless you and grant you favor! Thank you for sharing your deep love of music with those fortunate enough to be around you and be on the receiving end of your gift...
I think now that you are home you and Andrew should start weeding the garden area. According to your mom it needs a lot of work, and the two of you seem to be able bodied individuals. Consider it rent. But before you do that, pick your clothes up off the floor.

I just read your moms blog, I think you can now learn to do your own laundry, really now.
Your most caring and somewhat giving Uncle

I offered to do his laundry, as he began working full-time once they moved in. (Besides, it keeps my new spare bedroom/office cleaner!) I want that room to still smell lovely when they move out...
Your profile picture is ODD!
